RFT Express NewsYou can liken the UK to a big Plc company, in fact the 5th biggest in the world. Cameron as MD, Osborne as Finance director etc. etc.

The question is this, if this massive Plc , increased borrowing and decreased growth, would you sack the MD, and the Finace director for gross mismanagement?

Austerity Until 2010
David Cameron has admitted that his austerity programme isn’t working, but says it will go on until 2010, meaning Britain could endure a decade of squeezed public spending.
On the 25th June 2010 I wrote a blog “Post Budget Review” indicating that the path the Coalition was following would end up with 10 years of low growth and Austerity. Two and half years later, both Cameron and Osborne agree.
Rachel Reeves, Labour’s shadow chief secretary to the Treasury, said Cameron's comments were a "significant admission from David Cameron that his economic plan has failed".“The Government's reckless policies have delivered a double-dip recession and rising long term unemployment, which is why borrowing is now going up.
"Instead of shrugging his shoulders and accepting things will just get worse, David Cameron should be taking urgent action to get the economy moving again.

Julie Townsend, deputy chief executive of road safety charity Brake, told the BBC: “There is a clearly evidenced, direct link between traffic speed and the number of devastating crashes and casualties on our roads. Given the rise in deaths and injuries last year on UK roads, the government should focus its efforts on bringing casualties down through evidenced means, such as reinforcing and enforcing vital safety laws like speed limits.”
What is she talking about? The current limit on single carriageways for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) over 7.5 tonnes is 40mph - but this could be raised to 45mph or 50mph. Roads minister Stephen Hammond said less congestion and quicker journeys would help business, and boost the economy by £30m.
The AA president Edmund King and Neil Greig, director of policy and research at the Institute of Advanced Motorists, both supported the government, blaming lorry drivers sticking to the speed limit, were to blame for road rage and dangerous driving.

Jeremy Hunt  is enjoying a little respite as attention has been diverted from him over the handling of BskyB take over. Cameron, Clegg and Osborne are feeling more pressure from the electorate, as voters turned away from the coalition parties in the local elections.
New revelations of sleaze surrounding Mr. Hunt have been dismissed by David Cameron and accused Labour of playing one sided party politics.
In December 2009 Jeremy Hunt a member of the shadow cabinet had to repay more than £9,500 in second home expenses after a sleaze watchdog found him in breach of Commons rules.

The UK economy has avoided a double-dip recession by the narrowest of margins, a leading think tank predicted. The National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) are forecasting that the economy has avoided a double-dip recession. They say that the economy grew by 0.1%, but it is only their opinion, the government has not released official figures yet, or an official forecast.
Forecasts are notoriously optimistic, and I am still of the opinion that, it is still too close to call. And we will have to wait for the official figures to be released, before we know for certain.
The ConDems have presided over 8 consecutive quarters of falling growth, and higher unemployment, since we were officially in the recovery stage
Their promise to rebalance the economy, has taken a back seat, while the ConDems carryon trying to dismantle the NHS and the Benefits system.
The budget with the withdrawal of benefits to people in work was calculated to increase employment, with hard working families having to relinquish jobs, and live on benefits.
